SENCHA (way at tea break) How to
make 4 cups
Put two heaping teaspoons(about
5g) into a teapot. Cool down boiled water (about 50cc) to about 80digrees
before pouring into teapot. Let the leaves soak for one minute in the water
before serving into very small cups.
This is a standard type of green tea. It has distinctive strong , bitter
taste , and has delicate sweet taste too. Enjoy with cakes or cookies ,
or sometimes only tea.
SENCHA (way at meal time or after
meal) How to make 4 cups

10g) into a teapot. Boiled water (about 200cc), letting it cool down to
about 85digrees before pouring into the teapot. Let the leaves soak for
one minute or over in the water before serving into small cups, such as
tea cup.
This is a standard type of green tea. Enjoy bitter taste and fresh aroma.
Drink with a meal or after meal.
GYOKURO How to make
4 cups
Place two heaping teaspoons
(about 5g) into a tea pot. Make boiled water (about 30~40cc)cool down to
about40digrees before pouring into teapot. Serve after 2~4minutes keeping
into very small cups.
Ten persons has ten ways. You can make various taste and flavor by changing
balance of quantity of leaves, water and temperature of water. Please look
for your balance.
Enjoy tea alone or with cookies. If you felt it too sweet, please try Sencha
way.
MATCHA (Powdered tea) How to make 1 bowl
Place two heaping Chashaku (Matcha spoonfuls) into a tea bowl. Let boiled
water cool down to about 90~95digrees,then pour about 50cc. Powdered tea
must be whipped with a Chasen (tea whisk) to mix properly. It should develop
a thin layer of forth on top from whipping.
Matcha is tasted not only at the Japanese Tea Ceremony (The way of tea)
but also at every days tea break. High grade Matcha is sweet and mild,
but low grade can be bitter.
Matcha is quite delicious mixed or served with ice cream, cakes and cookies.
You will not able to store Matcha well, and will lose it's quality after
short time. It's best to use within one month of purchase.
BANCHA kind (Houjicha, Genmaicha
or Kawayanagi) How to make 4 cups
Pour 4 cups boiling water over 10g leaves in large tea pot. Then serve
it into large cups after 30 seconds waiting. Many people drink this tea
at meal time or instead of water.
Houjicha Roasted tea, goes best with a meal (especially oily foods).
Genmaicha Roasted rice is mixed in. Enjoy light taste and flavor. Our
shop invented this tea.
Kawayanagi Light type of tea. Many people
use it for Ochazuke (Rice with tea mixed
in).
