New teas report in 2009　　　　　　　　　　　
We have finished to buy teas in 2009.
It is very difficult year for us to get good quality teas again follow to the last year.
Weather in March to April was very cool, and taste is light and calm aroma is the charactor of this year's tea.
Gyokuro and Matcha is usually in good condition, but Sencha is getting modern style, and hard to get traditional teas.

The character of this years tea.

Sencha High grade Still good quality at this grade of teas.
Aroma is very sweet and very mild but rich taste.
Butit is a little bitter than 2008 teas. Of course I think moderate bitterness is very important, for Sencha.
Middle grade Light and weak than last year.
1200~1500JPY is in good condition, but lower are too weak than regulaor year.
Low grade Very expensive for the quality, because market is in too wild through 2003-2009.
The taste is mild and tasty than last 2008, but I think more bitter and astringent taste is important for this grade of tea.
Gyokuro High grade Very good, especially they have rich aroma.
It has good balance of sweetness and bitterness, but color is a little too green.
Low grade Already began to mature, and mild and rich, I think this year's Gyokuro is moderate price for quality.
Matcha High grade Very good. They have rich aroma and deep taste constantly through the several year.
Middle grade Very good especially price 1575YEN/40g.
Low grade Averaged as same as 2008, but a little too light.
Bancha Kawayanagi High grade is very nice, but low are expensive for the quality.
Genmaicha Very good, but a little too mild.
Houjicha
(roasted tea)		 In very good condition

The real Uji tea is still expensive than regular year.
Especially low grade Sencha, and lower grade of Kawayanagi become too expensive for quality.
We saved to buy teas, and I will get another teas from spot market.
Following to the last year, crazy market still continue, and good quality teas soon disappear from market.
